Torture Garden MANCHESTER that so many of you have been asking for. The Vivid Angel provided a Supreme Performance of her ‘Black tea’. Gore and burlesque performance has been something of a trend in contemporary performance yet few perform it with the emotional prowess of the Vivid Angel. Not only is her movement and command of the stage controlled yet violently dominant but the energy she invests is intrinsically unforgiving and it is only her demeanour that provides our delight. Some have commented that the lead her facial expressions give during performance is comparable to greats such as Maria Falconetti, and as a fan of Dreyers use of Falconetti I must agree. Manchester, we were treated to a great act for a great crowd so take time to enjoy the stills and memories of a fab night!
